Antique NW Persian Kurdish finely woven wool rug featuring glistening tones of pink, brown, and burgundy

Antique Kurdish Rug - 4'7 x 8'7

Regular price $2,350.00 Sale

This Kurdish rug was handwoven in Northwest Iran during the first quarter of the 20th century.

The field is composed of a classic rendition of the herati pattern. The main border alternates between round rosettes and sharp serrated leaves. The main border is framed by flowering vines on a crisp white background which really brightens the piece. In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Meaty pile, with a thick handle.

Some wear on the corners.
